You wake up on a quiet Sicilian farm, with the warm Mediterranean sun and the scent of the garden all around you.

You begin the day with yoga and feel awake and alive.

Breakfast is relaxed, with farm-fresh, local food.

The rest of the day gives you space to unwind — ride a bike to the sea, wander the property, and simply enjoy where you are.

Your Home Away From Home - Salinara

We’ll be staying at Salinara, a lovingly restored 18th-century farmhouse in Sicily.

Located near the ancient city of Marsala, a crossroads of history and culture, Salinara looks out over wide-open natural scenery. It’s nestled among working farms, yet just minutes from the Mediterranean Sea.

It’s a quiet, grounded place — not fussy or busy — designed for people who want to slow down, eat well, spend time outdoors, and feel rejuvenated.

We’ll practice yoga in an open-air shala, surrounded by nature. The weather in Sicily in April is typically mild and sunny.

The accommodations are comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Each private apartment has a garden, terrace, or balcony, with views over the surrounding vineyards and the Mediterranean Sea. The space supports rest, ease, and good sleep.

Mid-morning Powerful Woman Sessions include somatic strength work for women, breathwork, and journaling. These are practical tools you can bring home to support strength, clarity, and steady energy.

Evenings wind down with calming practices such as yoga nidra, designed to support deep rest and better sleep.

Meals are plant-based, seasonal, and thoughtfully prepared using ingredients grown on the farm or sourced locally.

Annie has been by my side at every one of my international retreats. She supports the daily flow, handles logistics, and is the go-to person for any questions that come up. Think Julie the Cruise Director from The Love Boat 🛳.

Having Annie there means everything runs smoothly, so you don’t have to worry about the details and can simply enjoy your time.

  3. A non-refundable deposit of $1000.00 CDN is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due by March 9, 2026, and is 100% non-refundable from the final payment date to the departure date.

Donna Davis is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in yoga and movement for women 50+, with a focus on sustainable strength, nervous system support, and daily rhythms.
As the founder of the Powerful Woman Movement, and based in Ottawa, Canada, Donna has guided hundreds of women—supporting everything from first 5Ks and marathons to first Sun Salutations and even handstands—helping them build confidence, resilience, and step into their inner Powerful Woman.
